About Michael V.
With over 10 years of teaching experience, my teaching method is centered on one thing: the student. Music can be very personal and, at times, frustrating, so my primary goal is for each lesson to end with a feeling of genuine, fulfilling progress, no matter how big or small. What to expect in our lessons: Real-World Flexibility: We start with a warm-up and a realistic check-in on your practice. I know life gets busy; we work with the time you have, not against it. Student-Led Repertoire: While I love introducing a mix of contemporary, classical, and jazz standards, you choose the music that inspires you. Deep Dives: We don't just memorize notes. We look at the theory, culture, and production techniques that make the music work. Beyond the instrument, I bring my experience as a working composer and producer into the classroom. My credits include serving as Score Producer for Marvel's Ironheart, performing on scores for franchises like Star Wars and Adventure Time, and contributing to the Grammy-nominated albums like Mega Ran's "Buddy’s Magic Tree House". Whether you are looking to master an instrument, or dive into music theory or production, my door is always open.
